Aquatalia’s Founder, President and Creative Director Marvin Krasnow unites the design and craftsmanship of Italy with his lifelong expertise in the footwear industry. Marvin K. has built his family-operated footwear business into an international brand whose story is told through the Aquatalia capitals of style: Milan, Manhattan and Montreal.
Marvin K. travels to Milan several times per year, with his daughter Rena, to work with Italian craftsmen and resource the world’s best leathers and suedes. Here in the centuries-old footwear capital, Marvin K. teams with Aquatalia lead designer, Gino Iozzi, to ensure that superior quality and advanced technology are evident with every step you take.
Montreal is home to both Marvin K. and the Aquatalia headquarters. The city’s European sophistication, French influence and cosmopolitan lifestyle inspire the brand’s global message of fashion without compromise.
New York City sets the pace for shoe lovers everywhere. The city is where Style Director and Chief Operating Officer, Rena Krasnow, oversees brand operations from her Manhattan office.

What is Weatherproofing?
Our weatherproof collection is designed to be worn in all types of weather: sun, rain, sleet or snow. The functionality and comfort of Aquatalia are built-in features that bring added value to your footwear investment.
During the tanning process, the leather and suede skins are bathed in a special sealant. This sealant penetrates the fibers of the leather and suede, remaining completely intact for the life of the materials. This process also keeps the leather and suede very soft and natural looking.
Each seam is sealed with a special liquid sealant that fills every hole made during stitching to prevent water penetration.
This unique and complex process gives Aquatalia leathers their salt and stain resistance. It also maintains the footwear’s breathability and keeps the foot comfortable and dry. This process does not cover fastenings or zippers.
Insoles
A breathable padded insulating footbed is used underneath the sock lining. This unique feature keeps your feet comfortable year round, indoors or outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions. During cold weather, the insulator is self-activating to keep your feet warm.
Outer Soles
The outer soles are fabricated with a rubber compound that retains its flexibility, even in cold weather conditions. They are specially designed to be slip-resistant, providing maximum stability
